You can try getting into the Yakuza series. It's like a much smaller scale GTA but in Japan and melee combat is the main focus. Also tons of Japanese over the top zaniness and humour. I finished the prequel recently and it's been pretty great for the most part. Long game too, (easily 100+ hours time sink in each title if you want do all the side stuff).
There's also tons of older titles you can try getting into if you haven't, and if you can get past old graphics, such as System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Halo 1, 2, etc.

Rimworld. The new Call of Duty warzone is free and fun. Escape from Tarkov if you think you can handle it. Red dead 2 is an amazing game. Ori and the Blind forest.
I would say the first two (and a half) are at least moderately self-consistent. 3 just shits on everything, is inconstant, and written by people with brain damage from all the bleach and hair dye fumes they've exposed themselves to in their desperate crusade to get more undeserved attention.
As for good?
Recently I played Wolcen Lords of Mediocrity. It's a buggy, unfinished mess which failed to deliver its original content and will probably be gone in 3 months, but at least it's pretty and the combat is decent.
Vermintide 2 was fun, but since chinko pinkos bought controlling interest in Fatcuck they started pushing cosmetic dlcs.
I picked up a Cthulhu inspired GTA clone called Sinking City that came out a while ago, which was nice until the faggot devs starting pushing their self-righteous bullshit in the most ham fisted way possible (muh Klan).
If you like games like Demon's Souls or Dark Souls, Remnant from the Ashes was pretty decent. Not as much content as it should have had and is only good for one play through.
And I played through Atelier Ryza which was pretty typical JRPG fair, but it was well constructed and didn't just shit all over the player.
That's mostly it for the past few months. Been too busy to play too much, and a back log of 500 or so games doesn't help.
I did hear good things about that Terminator Resistance game though. Doesn't look half bad.
Another assassins Creed ish game where you are an SS man hunting undesirables and you catch them doing sterical things. Like rescuing children from hook nosed faggots.
You know a game that gives you hope and brings a smile to your face.

I mostly have older games but:
If you like shooters and realism I recommend Squad. It's great but make sure you have a mic.
If you have VR try Payday 2 it's free and also No Mans Sky (not free but you can wait for a sale).
Left For Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2 are free and fun.
My Summer Car is a fun car building/survival simulator game.
Warframe is free and has tons of content.
