Stoicism...it looks good in theory, but ive come to learn that after many years doing it, i got nothing out of it other than peace and isolation, and i wonder sometime what and how much i lost, women and friends dont like stoic people, at all really. Its an unsolved puzzle, people dont like that, they like stereotypes that they can categorize. Stoic people come as upstuck and it doesnt fall well with the mob.

I think you're supposed to be alone if everyone else sucks.

TXROADWARRIOR ago

I think there’s a sweet spot for stoicism and at least expression some basic emotions. As a Commander in Chief, Aurelius had to be stoic. But you don’t really find a wife that way but you can raise a family that way. I don’t care what the mob thinks however

WhitePaladin ago

"But you don’t really find a wife that way but you can raise a family that way."

yes yes and yes, im stoic as fuck because its safer for me, not because of results, but im generally not good with people, specially most women who are incredibly combative, i just dont have the patience

Says UK, has it been verified? Are the Romans still white?

Cicero had some insights as well.

OP Is a faggot. He linked some old ass english version where the writer tries to sound smart. Use the George Hayes' translation which is widely regarded as the best.

B/c i'm not a fag, I also included a link to it:

Here's the printed version:

I quick searched for a free pdf version. I couldn't find a free George Hayes translation. But people can at least decide if they are interested at all. However, I've got a different version anyway (paperback). By the way, your link doesn't work.

youre going to read? as if that will help you fight back. whites will never do anything because theyre too busy reading

also known as Marc Aurel or Marc Anton

illiterate.

(Stoicism)

a jewish subversive technique to keep whites from taking action. yawn.

you support white genocide.

White_European ago

Marc Aurel was an emperor, so he had to take action, he ordered and fought wars. A leftwinger(hysteric) is the opposite of a stoic. Stoicism is about strength within yourself. The western civilisation and the white man will survive one way or the other.

His son was a tyrant.

This is a good little book. It's not long, and it's not difficult to read. It's one of those books that every man of the West (white, Christian) should read.

White_European ago

The diction is direct and clear, not weepy at all. Well, that's stoicism. Marc Aurel wasn't Christian but there are some basic approaches in the text which are quite similar to the Christian attitude.

CantDentTheBrent ago

Do you know his religion?

TheButcherrrrr ago

Stoic.

White_European ago

The Romans were polytheistic. They believed in different gods depending on purpose (Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Ceres, etc.). I think his philosophy shows that he was pragmatic and earthbound. He believed in growth and decay as the text shows.

I've reading currently, work took my time but I see he answered my question early.

Thank you for your info

In this case I rather prefer the term "self-reflections" instead of "meditations". It matches much better with the content. 😊
