Sure I did a little time in military detention, the first two books I took from the Glasshouse library were a biography of Reichmarshall Hermann Göring and a tome titled Races of Europe which had photos, the only thing that resembled a novel in any way was VW's To The Lighthouse .. it was awful, it was trash and it was 'orrible.
I read about two and a half pages and put it down, my psyche said reading must be better than counting bricks however bad the book was so I picked it up again, it was unreadable .. I skimmed thru a few more pages and as far as I could tell it got worse and down it went to stay, whoever declared her to be a readable writer was on a different wavelength than me.
