To newcommers: the locals have been censored from a variety of places and there are many with controversial oppinions. This is one haven for free speech many turn to when censored. Deviation towards the mean and fear of the most controversial topics has homogenized many towards some very contriversial positions.
There is no censorship here so you can be free. Voice your oppinion and do not be afraid of the rigorous community.
Here we van organize and discuss with no fear of censorship.

What caused you to decide to start this sub on voat even though there's been so little activity on your account?
TheNerdyCowboy ago
I have been on voat for a while and check it periodically throughout the day. It truely allows free speech
Beserker ago
I started a sub dedicated to creating Buffalo, an independent territory combining Saskatchewan and Alberta. I believe the only viable option for the people in Buffalo is to leave Confederation, as the previous administration has shown the Deranged Dominion is broken.
When the Yellow Vest movement succeeds, then what? More dealings with a system clearly arrayed against the best interests of Buffalonians?
However as I have only lurked on Voat until now, and so have zero CCP, I cannot start any discussions (!) but I can reply and upvote(?)
Any help would be appreciated.
Free Buffalo!

@TheNerdyCowboy, I urge you to go to your subverse settings and change the "Anonymized mode" (yes/no/both) to no. This denies any more anon posts on the subverse. Users are using aliases already, so what is the point of anon posts?
You may be called "censorfag" if you do turn it off, be warned as it has happened to me.
Be aware this is most emphatically NOT a free speech zone. There is censorship and it is SOP here. Because it is in an anon post, the user making the comment cannot be identified (but I suspect it is @soapbox).
This anon post, one of only two on the subverse, should be a heads up on how much "free speech" is actually enjoyed here. More of a one way street if mass downvoting ("How's that -10 spanking for censoring feel, @gwain?") is used to deny subverse mods from operating the subverse by their own chosen rules added to the spam/illegal/dox rules that are Voat-wide.
I managed only two posts in the subverse before a "spanking" for "reddit level toxic mod actions" triggered this mass downvoting, as an ongoing and intentional effort to deny the targeted users any speech, much less "free speech". I am unable to post to my own subverse as every comment/post made in any subverse (not just my own) is downvoted to keep the CCP under 10 points.
Look at the comment that this comment is a reply to, directly above. It is downvoted, as an ongoing spanking. I expect this comment will also be downvoted. SOP
The other mod @beserker could not be downvoted until comments were made, and when they were they were hammered.
Really disappointing.

@TheNerdyCowboy I apologize for hijacking this comment thread. As both mods are being spanked, I cannot start a post, can only reply a limited number of times per 24 hours, cannot send a PM.
I had not expected to use @beserker outside the Free Buffalo subverse, but the spankings drove @gwain's CCP below the threshold. I fully understand if you purge this mess from your forum.

Free speech is too important. If it is not relevent it should disappear out of more relevant informations being more popular

Free speech is beyond important, it is critical to a healthy polity. The Founding Fathers of America recognized this and put it in the 1st amendment to their constitution.
What free speech cannot survive is the hecklers veto, shouting down speech you don't like.

I also apologized to the anon that started the thread, and will not comment there again.
