One of the best "behind the scenes" goats at voat has been @SearchVoat over at v/SearchVoat. He has indexed all of Voat's public data (majority) and you can access it at https://searchvoat.co. I consider him to be trustworthy and honorable.
Don't panic out about saving all your old data before Voat is shutdown, it is Christmas and all.

You can, I already did. However if you change your password you will also have to assign a valid e-mail address to your new searchvoat forum account, so keep that in mind.
