"Sven Longshanks

looks at proposals for changes to hate crime legislation that completely ignore many maxims of law.

Hate crime legislation

has led to a two-tier justice system where some groups are seen as having far more value than others in society, giving them extra protections that the rest don’t have.

The laws have also led to the criminalisation of criticism of certain people or behaviour, if an intent to be hostile to the group can be shown.

They have also transformed an alleged victim into a judge in his own cause and now wish to criminalise criticism of government policy, essentially removing the need for consent from the governed.

These laws attack the very roots and foundations of democracy.
