For a lot of reasons, the last 18 months has been a doozy for me. This community though, and some of the ladies and gents here, have been a huge support and help to me

I'd like to wish you all - lurkers, regular contributors, and even @YoHomie - a very happy Christmas and a wonderful 2020. May your day be spent doing precisely what you love whatever that may be, surrounded by love, good fried and family and an abundance of wonderful food

Oh gosh, I just picked up on that :o Whoopsie.

And a little will be, actually. I love chestnuts but they're a pain in the backside to eat with the shell on. So I preroast (doing it now, actually, they smell heavenly) and peel, then shallow fry with pancetta and sprouts in sesame oil
