Own 2, great guns, reliable, can run through a box of 500 without a hiccup. Only 2 other .22 rifles even come remotely close to it in reliability & general utility but both are tube mag guns. So the Ruger kills both for reloading ease. And aftermarket parts? Fuggetaboutit!

If you run across either of these, 1980s & earlier are the good ones, Browning SA-22 (semi-auto), Remington Fieldmaster (pump-action).

heck yes

pump action is so cool

we shot my dads nylon 66 growing up

i think it holds 14 or so

and then you start the reloading process lol

as for my 10/22 i dont think ive had a single hiccup yet

I have the mental conversation often, "If I could only grab 1 gun...". Have to admit the 10-22 is nearly always a contender. So much you can do with them for accuracy tuning also.

Main things were bedding the stock (Acraglas) and trigger. For the trigger, a major improvement was just putting a piece of business card between the trigger & actuator button.

mine has seemed decent so i have worked with it at all

the great thing about the 10/22 is with magazines and semi auto its not entirely retarded to use in self defense

more accurate than a pistol

and you cant miss fast enough to win

get yourself a 10/22 charger and put a pistol brace on it

sbr with no paperwork

they make takedown chargers too in case you want to add longer barrels to your pistol lol
