So we had a match stage involving loading and firing 10 lose rounds from a rifle twice. Load magazine, load rifle, engage while moving, load magazine, load rifle, go prone, engage five targets crawling between each.

There was conversation that on that particular stage an m1 or a lever action with kings gate would be better.

So the original lever guns you had to open the tube magazine at the front pulling the spring out and then dropping rounds in. The kings gate was invented later and that is a little trap door on the right side of the receiver that you can feed rounds into one at a time.
