I've seen a number of images of PMs thrown about. I'm not sure 'she did it first' is really a good response. It wasn't an acceptable response in grade school.
I also can't remember all the threads, but they were pretty pmetiful for a while. I kinda wish I'd thought of this list earlier, but I ws (and am still) not wanting to be an actual part of this drama. People have been mostly good about leaving me out of it, but damn didn't I get a ton of pings for a while.
When zyklon went in and antagonized them, I declared my neutrality. I still hold no public opinion, but that's kinda because I'm not actually sure who said what, did what to whom, and who got paid in milk and cookies.
I did ask a few questions when it came to crensch. I got no real good answers. It was mostly my SBBH brothers saying he was a power mod. When I asked what they'd done to make 'em delete threads and ban people, they kinda giggled and feigned innocence.
That part did intrigue me, but I got over being curious.
I have no idea where I'm going with this. I lack sleep.
I've got this stupid thing called standards. I try really hard to meet my standards for myself. I'm not actually always successful, but I try.
Thus a factual list of, "These people chose to publicly share information given in confidence." If one made said list and linked to examples, then I'd further add a caveat - saying something like there may have been extenuating circumstances. I'd actually have helped with said list, had I thought of this sooner. I don't keep archives of much of anything, and I know some of you all do keep track of things with pretty good efficiency and efficacy.
I'm not actually sure. I do share personal stuff in private messages, but I don't really do anything I'm ashamed of or could be shamed with.
And, I'm REALLY biased when it comes to violating trust.
So, I'd probably let the drama unfold and realize I'm not that emotionally invested and prefer my high horse of not stooping to their level.
Perhaps I am not a good baseline?
A list, no matter how short, would be good to know? At least I can see it as a value to goats who want to know how far they can trust other people with private material. Even as a quasi-public figure and have been doxxed in a variety of ways, some of my own choosing but I've had people google me but keep it private, I'm still a stickler for confidence.
I do believe zyklon would be on said list and I count him as a friend that I'd help in real life.
So, an impartial list would maybe allow folks to decide for themselves. After all, you yourself seem to express a belief that it's sometimes justified. That's not really a judgement call I'm comfortable making for people other than myself.
I'd have to say it does count, yes. But, I have high standards for privacy.
Hell, I wasn't sure once about informing the guitar thread that you were ill. That one took me some thought and I still carefully expressed it to alleviate concerns from other FNGT folks.

That's definitely one way to view it.

Hmmm, yeah you definitely have a point there but some were cornered and does sharing it as self defense count?
This is very important, you are right!

I know and appreciate your privacy concerns greatly. Privacy is veeeery important to me too.
Stepping over that line is disrespectful and downright unacceptable behavior and should be curtailed at every chance and opportunity.
At work, can you ping the PV people and ask them their thoughts?
TheBuddha ago
I don't even know who PV is anymore. @kevdude is, I think.
I could check, but that'd require initiative. I slept exactly none.
Nadeshda ago
Yes, thanks for pinging him. Sunday into Monday I slept none. Have some exciting news to share too... grrr, here I go again catch you later...
TheBuddha ago
LOL I am soon abed, methinks. Or me hopes.
ilikeskittles ago
Yeah that's not cool.
TheBuddha ago
There has been a lot of it lately.
