It makes sense. If you get a result of: 4 billion covid-19 molecules after 30 cycles, you would have to back-calculate what the original concentration was to get an idea of how sick the person was.

What they're doing today is using it as a qualitative test (yes/no) versus a quantitative test (you're 10% sick, or 50% sick). With a quantitative test, there's more information and they could at least say any % below 40 is not a sick patient. Right now, they're saying anyone from 1 - 100% is a sick patient which is very deceptive.

The issue is knowing what the cutoff concentration (or %) for sick vs. being not sick. I'm not sure we have that info.

Actually, that would not do anything, either. You can not know that someone got sick because they had X amount of molecules of a virus that has never been purified and tested to see if it actually makes anyone or anything (animal tests) sick.

That is the whole point of doing those experiments -- to figure out what makes someone sick, and how much it takes. They have never done that. So, even if you could figure out how much that had, it would not mean anything.

PCR is NOT for diagnosis. PCR is specifically for amplifying something so that it can be studied more easily, and PCR is a method that accomplishes that faster (to save time for the lab) than any other technique. That is all it is. Nothing more.

It can't happen soon enough. I'm interested in finding out about his mismanagement of everything HIV related. Funny, the pictures supposedly taken by the electron microscope of HIV and corona virus look exactly alike. Why has no vaccine been developed for HIV if one for corona virus can be made so quickly? Hint: HIV drugs are very expensive and paid for by the government. They wouldn't want to kill the golden goose now would they. I wonder which of his scandals will be the biggest one.
