Not exactly. When I was in the 75th, we were under the DoD, when I was in the 82nd, we were under the DoA (Department of the Army) 82nd is SpecOps but in a different way, but was under the DoA. Ranger battalions were all under the DoD. If it's true that all SpecOps is now under DoD, that would lead me to believe something bigger is going on.

Granted, things have changed a lot since I was in about 15 year ago, but I don't think they changed that much, operationally.
