The United States Supreme Court rarely ever has a unanimous decision, especially this court. They did it here, though.

The People have a RIGHT TO SUE government officials when those officials violate their rights.

Police and other government employees have been protected by corrupt judges for years (decades) from personal accountability when they violate someone's rights.

Today, the court upheld the right the People have to "redress their grievances," which is a right protected by the First Amendment.

This means that SCOTUS is capable of doing the right thing, constitutionally.

They had a 9 0 decision in Chiaffalo v. Washington "faithless Elector" case. It is an absolute destruction of the Constitution since the majority opinion took it upon itself to redefine some words in the Constitution. The minority opinion agreeing with the ruling but disagreeing with the redefinition of words is equally bad. That being authored by Thomas and concurred with by Gorsuch says it is a 10th Amendment power of the States to "bind" the Electors. The 12th Amendment that came after the 10th was ratified by the States at the time has the words "...they shall name in their ballots..." referring to the Electors. Nowhere is there language suggesting the ballots belong to the States. Actually the word State with a capital S does not appear in the 12th. It only has state with a small s which does not mean State gov't. Even more evidence is Article 2 section 4 "The Congress may determine the Time of chusing Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States". It doesn't say they shall give the States vote anywhere. The 12th Amendment grants the power to the Electors to vote for the President so the 10th Amendment power is reserved to the States or the people respectively and Thomas neglected the 2nd half of that in his opinion. Electors are people. Constitutionally disgusting.

Then you're one of the good cops and I've met a few of you. Heading south from Baken Oil field project I stopped at a small village where a cop was just parked by the highway near the restaurant. I went in, ate and then came back out. Only then did I notice the cop was sitting exactly the same. Curious I walked closer and noticed it was a dummy in a cop car. Hilarious. Kept heading south and into South Dakota and crossed over a junction. Checking my navigator to make sure of where I was, watching the traffic signs I slowed down to match my speed to the posted speed limit I missed one sign when I again checked my navigator. Posted limit had gone down to 35 MPH. Traffic officer was waiting and pulled me over. Told me exactly what I had done regarding speeding and the posted speed limits for the junction. I apologized profusely and offered that I must have missed it when checking my navigator and obviously that's not a valid excuse, just an explanation and again apologized. I was getting a well deserved ticket. Obviously I would pay better attention to the road signs in the future rather than my stupid navigator.

Officer was polite, cordial, nonconfrontational and friendly. Very nice guy. Then he did what I didn't expect. Said he was just going to make this a verbal warning to pay better attention and have a nice day. Wow, unearned blessing.
