Eventually everyone is forced to get on the right side of things, to figure out the only rules that work. In the process any spirit that totally insists on remaining in darkness, or standing in contradiction to its own existence, is extinguished forever.

For some reason there is a finality to what we are going through now... I've noticed on a few occasions Trump as well as his opponents emphasizing the word "forever". I'm not sure exactly what makes it "forever" this time. I'm not sure how to tie all this together completely, but I think these are a few of the concepts needed. I have some speculative thoughts that align with what you say about the power of group intentions even if it is actually backwards.
