Backchannels allow for "preventing leaks, streamlining communications and circumvention of... unresponsive and self-interested bureaucracy". They "can shelter sensitive negotiations from political pressure and compartmentalize information against leaks." So would we be surprised that it has been used for decades by presidents to de-escalate situations? When you have untrustworthy leakers in the Congressional body and within your own staff, especially deeply embedded or even sleeper agents of the DS within the walls of the White House determined to bring down the President or worse - the country, what other means would you use that have been successful in the past?

Nixon also used backchannels with China and Russia, both.

And, according to former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster as quoted in an article, Inside the White House's History of Secret "Back Channels" in 2017...

"We have back-channel communications with a number of countries. So, generally speaking, about back-channel communications, what that allows you to do is to communicate in a discreet manner."

Apparently, one of these backchannels was to Iran.

Actually there arent that many ppl on voat anymore, QRV and GA are the busiest subs...yes the strategy has been to describe the Q stuff as "far-right" ( whatever that is), while the most effective anti-Q strategy would simply be to point to the huge proportion of deepstaters still flooding our white small towns with 3rd worlders, confiscating our weapons, and teaching our children to hate themselves.
