agreed. All part of the show. I think OP's comment sums it up: saving face. 100% on point. If anyone was killed in the strikes, it is people we wanted taken out.

On a side note. I have this tingling feeling that the evidence trump has that he used to kill soleimani specifically mentions pelosi, schiff et al. I don't know why but gd i'd love to see their faces when the classified intel is shown to them.

I listened carefully and it is not possible to state (at the very least) that he is operating in the best interests of the American people. Question is, is he protecting someone or something? Or does he have something in his own closet?
