Anyone who says that this is in American interests or that is an oil/ resources war, are merely trying to pull a fast one on you, if American interests were the driving factor behind all these policies the first thing they would do is abolish the federal reserve and all the branches of parasitism that engulf the ability to make decisions for the sake of Americans...
If you found a country solely made of oil with mountains of diamonds, it would still be less in your interest than removing the federal reserve that would steal all that wealth trough some very clever economic semantics.
Don't fool yourself one bit on who's pushing this war, its the same people that want to replace/kill you...
