It might be apocryphal, but I think even DC comics back in the 60's had a list of words to not use because smudges or smears might make naughty words. FLICK and CLINT were out, because sometimes LI kerned into a U.

Actually there have been massive FOIA requests around pizzagate. But people lose interest to complex, it's all about field investigations and tracking the computer files that the guy who shot up, ping-pong and all the things like that, there's no smoking guns and there's no real evidence so people lose hope.
