There's a section of Istanbul where a lot of fair-skinned, blue-eyed, red-haired people dwell. They are the descendents of slaves captured from the Irish coast by Moslem raiders. The fact they still display their celtic physical traits shows they are marginalized to this day. The Moslem slave raids got so bad, that for many years, the Irish had to abandon their coasts and move far inland.
I do believe the first slaves shipped off to the Americas were Irish children, well before the BLM movement got its "roots". What is unclear is whether they were rounded up by their own people or grabbed and sold off by these raiders.
