It seems to me the black eye symbolizes knocking out the "all seeing eye".

The Vatican... The Holy See.

The Quran... Allah see's all that you do, nothing is hidden from him.

Yeah well God know's what's in your heart, and "allah" doesn't see as much as he thinks he does.

I'm guessing they didn't realize they had the bad eye at the top. Divide and conquer and all that.

We should always let our light shine without fear. We should trust in Him.

Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
