"Rig for Red" is normally a command used in the [submarine] Control Room. It is normally used when the boat is going to be surfacing or coming to Periscope Depth at night. The purpose is to give the lookouts and the officer designated to head to the bridge upon surfacing a chance for their eyes to adjust to darkness..."

More coming as the decode is massive. RIG FOR RED is a big drop, and has many meanings attached to it.

I am SUPER stoked Q is back. :)

I like the Navy/Submarine underlying culture and nomenclature (very Star Trek no?), and I see the Q drops are based on the premise that we are all crew members at sea > White Squall > Red October > navigating The Storm, and going where no others have gone before.
