This guy was recording because there was tons of cops in the movie theater parking lot. Him and hundreds of others pulled over on the 191 highway. there was already reports of an active shooter before this because the movie theater where it ended is what is shown here. The guy had shot a DPS officer on I-20 and Midland and then went to Odessa. in Odessa he went to a parking lot of a popular restaurant near a Walmart and home Depot and started shooting people. He's shot and killed a lady driving the mail truck and then drove it to the Cinergy movie theater parking lot on 191 where he was stopped. Almost every business here in Midland and Odessa locked down because of this.

Thanks..:) I haven't had time to listen to the whole thing but my first impression of the police scanner of the event doesn't sound right. I don't hear the adrenaline or urgency you usually hear in the cops' voices like for example in the LVegas event. Maybe I'm wrong though. Gotta study the entire audio.
