Maybe what's going on is he has figured out how to heal and pull away from it, so now he's free to speak up? Also the Epstein thing along with the Weinstein thing has freed a lot of the previously blackmailed or graymailed people so they can speak freely. In a way, I think a lot of people will be willing to forgive and assist people's recovery if they are humble and acknowledge the crap that went on -- esp the stuff out of their control. Some willingly went the way of the dark side (katy perry, lena dunham, and their ilk.) But I think a huge portion of the Black talent in music and hollywood felt this was the only way. Now Chappelle is speaking up. And no matter what you think of him, his words are setting his black colleagues free.
