Days before his ~~suicide~~ Arkanicide, Jeffrey Epstein made a new will and put all his worldly possessions into a trust in the event of his death. We can't see it after that. The money and real estate will be disbursed without public knowledge. For all I know, he could still be alive and just willed all of his stuff to himself.

Trusts are sometimes used by the wealthy to shield their assets from them being sued personally.

It could be that he saw his own suicide, Arkanicide, or faked death coming... and he chose that path to protect his assets.

This could be construed by a judge as trying to hide your assets if you know that a bunch of lawsuits are coming. This happens a lot when there is a messy divorce. One spouse hides a bunch of money from the other one, draining the joint checking account, etc. Judges can see right through that and will sometimes order an audit of the paper trail if they think something is suspicious. Sometimes, they "claw back" the money and give it to the other spouse.
