Buddha warned us the same thing. He repeatedly told us this is a Maya (illusion, matrix) world and it will collapse sooner or later, and he told us to get out of it (by ridding ourselves of material desires and achieve Nirvana).
You are correct. Both Buhha and Yeshua attempted to awaken the masses. Yeshua studied with the Monks from the age of 13 - 29. Ancient Buddhist manuscripts say Yeshua left Palestine and traveled to India, Nepal, Ladakh and Tibet and studied with the masters then took these teachings back to Israel.
Buddha lived 500 years before Yeshua. and Buddha and Yeshua have well over 50 Parallel teachings.
