It's called being brutally honest. I have a friend who just spouts what ever he's heard on TV or from others. Quite frequently when he says something that's obviously false I ask him, "where did you hear that". Usually it's something he heard on CNN. When I challenge the "facts" he thinks he's sure of and point out the obvious fallacies, he get's frustrated. Once he even told me I was abusing him. "really? Did I call you a name? Did I berate you? All I did was ask questions.". His answer, "But you make me feel stupid!". My Momma was just diagnosed with cancer. I am trying so hard to talk her into fasting and using RSO and other natural ways to heal the body, but she is torn because "doctors are the experts". Hell, the surgeon that we visited yesterday, after realizing that I was hellbent on her not going through chemo and radiation after we were told that it looked like surgery was all that would be needed to begin with, expedited her appointments to get treatment started... She's been Q'ed, so she knows the evil of the world, but she still somehow believes in modern doctors. I don't know how to change her mind, but I told her that I'd do everything with her, which I will. She has been on every antidepressant known to man over the years, and everything I have tried to educate her with in regards to that even has fallen on deaf ears. She does believe in the power of prayer, yet she has no faith in nature to heal her. How do I help her SEE and open her heart and mind? With her anxiety and "depressed" mental state, radiation and chemo could most definitely cause her to die before she reaches 60.

It's amazing what some of the natural healers I've met can tell about a person just from looking through photos. Our parents come from that generation where the doctor is practically 1 step from God and should never be questioned. Then there’s the “I like my doctor.” so they won’t go for a 2nd opinion, as if it’s some popularity contest. She’s lucky to have you. Don’t give up. Keep fighting. Find 2nd opinions, clinical trials, etc. Having said all that, we also have to respect the patient’s choice and path. Prayers to you, your Mom and her medical team.
