Let's examine one arm of the smear campaign. Here is how pizzagate 'truther' Random Rants of Ryan is linked to and has been actively worked on behalf of Voodoo Doughnuts to smear Lift the Veil, Isaac Kappy and Michael Whalen. The links in the chain are as follows:
Voodoo Doughnuts > Voodoo Doughnut Recordings > Devin Millar (Portland) > Kam Hoffman (Portland) > Random Rants of Ryan
Kam came out of nowhere on youtube and then suddenly started collaborating with Ryan to 'expose' Michael Whalen/Kappy/Lift the Veil all as fakes. Kam also did an interview with Devin Millar who had signed with Voodoo Recordings back when he was 15 years old. It looks like Devin got involved with voodoo in LA as his first music video for Voodoo shows him taking a trip from LA to Portland where he (age 15) dances around shirtless with some creepy guy in a suit as they eat doughnuts at Voodoo. There is also a more recent video Devin made that has a special guest appearance by Tres Shannon at this mark. Not surprisingly, given the people he has been involved with, Devin's twitter reveals that he has some gender confusion issues. I strongly suspect that Kam Hoffman and Devin Millar are friends or at the very least know each other from hanging around the same social scene in Portland.
To sum it up Ryan has been actively shilling for Voodoo via his cooperation with Kam Hoffman. But wait! There's more!
It seems that Ryan must also have have been in communication with at Jason Boss at some point. Early December at the very latest.
Ryan knew that Boss was going to turn Michael out and have him evicted before Michael even knew himself. Ryan hinted at it in this video (time-stamped listen to the first 10 seconds and you'll get the drift) intimating that some youtubers were going to have a bad Christmas. It's clear this was in reference to Lift the Veil since both Ryan and Kam had spent the prior couple of months or so doing nothing but attacking Lift the Veil, Michael and Kappy. Then he followed it up with this video that was specifically about Michael also having a bad Christmas (watch 1 minute from timestamp to get the gist as most of the rest of it is just him slurping a soda and laughing about it). How could he have possibly known that something bad was going to happen to Michael and his living situation if Boss didn't tell him? There is no possible way that Ryan could have known otherwise. Michael didn't get evicted until sometime in January as evidenced by his last periscope (just for reference) from 2 months ago when he was still living at the townhouse.
To put all of this in context it is important that I explain the nature of Michael and Boss' relationship so the following is some of what I learned from Michael.
Kappy got in touch after the first interview Michael had with Lift the Veil.
Then Boss came into the picture shortly after. Boss came in offering protection, work, and a safe place to stay. Boss was insistent that Michael either accept his offer immediately or the offer would be rescinded. Boss also told Michael that he had been in trouble and knew what it was like and that's why Boss is living in Panama. I have seen references to this in my digging but I have not found any specifics about this. Michael said he thinks it might have been something related to Boss's business but didn't really know specifically as specifics were not discussed.
Michael sought advice from LtV and Kappy who both advised that he take Boss up on the offer as Michael was in a real rough spot and while there were other offers of assistance none of those seemed nearly as concrete as what Boss was offering.
Michael has never met Boss in person. Boss arranged for someone (either an employee or fellow cult member; I'm unsure which) to transport Michael out of Portland and move him to The Dalles. The Dalles is a tiny little town an hour or so east of Portland. Boss moved Michael around between a couple hotels and a trailer before settling him into the townhouse. Boss promised the use of a vehicle so that Michael could use in order to get around in the Dalles and travel to Portland to see his son. That was not the case. Boss promised Michael work as Boss owned a business in The Dalles. That business was some sort of ISP that was in a shabby office run by a couple of women and a few technicians of questionable background. There was no work for Michael to do there.
Boss, being the bitcoin wizard he is, convinced Micheal to let him have access to Michael's Zelle account that was set up so people could donate to Michael if they wanted to help him. Why he let Boss do that I do not know. Boss also arranged for Michael to go on fellow cultist djnailion7's youtube channel for an interview. Kappy sent money via bitcoin through Boss to Michael on three separate occasions. Two of those times Boss did not give Michael any of the money. There is evidence that Kappy was indeed sending the money to Michael through Boss that I linked to in one of my earlier DMs.
Also the money that Boss claims to be out ($22,500) is a ridiculous sum. At most he would have been out $6,000 or so for a six month lease given the area if the place sat vacant for the term of the lease. Which it wouldn't. Plus whatever in incidentals. And since Boss had control of the Zelle account there is no telling how much people donated that he just kept as was the case with Kappy sending him bitcoin (aprox $2,200) that Michael never received.
Michael also told me that Boss kept pressuring him for information about Kappy. He also said that Boss kept pushing him to reach out to Fiona Barnnett. Which really makes me wonder given her situation and Boss's claims that he is very good friends with her. (I can't help but think there is something more to this.)
Michael's tweet on February 7th was directly referring to Boss: " I wonder what the motivation is to make someone serve a master? Something like all the offers I’ve spat on while trying to regain a semblance of a life with my dignity intact? I suspect it’s a lot cheaper."
The warrant in Las Vegas, Nevada that AnOpenSecret and Random Rants of Ryan kept going on about was mostly bullshit. It wasn't a felony warrant. It was a bench warrant that he owes $100 on over a fight he got into with his girlfriend (son's mother). In Nevada if the police are called by anyone to a domestic disturbance the law dictates that they arrest one of the parties involved and make sure they are separated for 24 hours (fact). Michael had a $500 dollar fine and had to go to a couple anger management classes. He paid $400 of the fine and then moved to Portland with his girlfriend and kid.
Welcome. There is a lot more to all of this but it's a start. People need to watch out for that Lestat character who pals around with Defango, too. Isaac told me that he felt Lift the Veil was a decent guy and that Titus Frost was fair but also thought he was 'kinda dumb'. Titus seems to work a lot with Ryan which is definitely not a good look for him but he might not be aware of some of this stuff so make of that whatever you will.
