He lost a bunch of money speculating on gold. I think his betrayal was probably taking money to identify someone that was, or he thought was, part of Q team. I guess there is someone called KateAnon that is involved somehow. People are speculating that this is her. Although, according to Kappy's friend that is his ex-girlfriend or at least that is what he told her. I don't know about any of that stuff since I don't follow it. Maybe the KateAnon thing makes sense to some of you here.

I know that he was planning on speculating on gold because the last time I talked to him he kept talking about how gold was going to go through the roof. If he lost most of his money and also believed that he sold out someone on the Q team then it makes sense that he would feel like he betrayed everyone and be contemplating suicide. It also makes sense that he considered it treason. He had been a recluse ever since he came back from Australia and rarely left the house.

Don't know a thing, but it would've been pretty hard to lose "a bunch of money speculating on gold" in the last decade.

That's what he told me. I don't know the specifics or the mechanism he might have used. I just know that he thought that gold was going through the roof because Trump was going back to the gold standard because that is what he told me.

Maybe paper gold.....

Obviously. You cant turn a little money into a lot of money overnight by buying and holding physical gold which is what he was trying to do. He must have made a real short term play based on what he thought was going to happen. I do not know what mechanism he might of used because I am unfamiliar with those things. Forex or something maybe? I don't know.

There is probably a volatility leveraged ETF or something that is set up to move 4x whatever gold is doing. Those instruments are toxic as fuck...every day you hold them you lose a little money. If you time it right and they pop before you lose your principal, you can make some bucks. But it's a fool's game. You're better off buying Lotto. Leveraged ETFs are designed by corrupt moneymen to fleece the naive and the desperate.

Good old NUGT. I don't think that was it though. I've played that particular game before and you don't lose your ass over night. You can, but looking at the chart that wasn't it. It's leveraged to the nuts but he wouldn't have lost everything in a month's time on it based on the price action. It would have had to have been some other short-term high risk vehicle. Some sort of option call or Forex...I dunno. I got fucked on NUGT once and never looked into any of the lottery plays beyond that although I am sure more extreme versions exist. He said he tried turning a little money into a lot of money and lost. He wasn't talking about Indian casinos since he never left the house. And his friend mentioned him playing gold which matches up with what he was telling me a month ago.
