J. Edgar Hoover published a memo within 7 days of JFK's assassination.
Here is the memo: https://imgoat.com/uploads/f3ef77ac0e/209563.jpg
The title is "ASSASSINATION OF PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY".
It says that the info in the memo "was orally-furnished to Mr. George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency".
The info is strictly pertaining to anti-Castro Cubans.
Bush was in the CIA at the time and managing anti-Castro Cubans.
He lied about having ever previously been in the CIA during his CIA Director confirmations hearings.
He was appointed to CIA Director by Warren Commission member Gerald Ford.
The Bay of Pigs was known as "Operation Zapata".
Bush owned "Zapata Oil Company" at the time.
The Watergate burglars were participants in Operation Zapata.
Nixon said that the Watergate scandal threatened to expose the "whole Bay of Pigs thing" and that it would be bad for the CIA.
H.R. Haldeman wrote that whenever Nixon said “the Bay of Pigs” on the Watergate tapes it was a code word for the JFK assassination.

A little known fact - Sirhan Sirhan was supposedly at the hotel that night to meet his mentor to pick up a racehorse (getaway vehicle?) at the service entrance.
His mentor was a phony pastor named William Jennings Bryan (named after the famous preacher in the Scopes Monkey trial which makes it hard to google this story). Bryan's nickname was "the walking Bible" (a common nickname among his ilk).
In the 1970s there was libel trial in which Bryan sued a radio station for cancelling his show. Bryan argued that the broadcaster was falsely accusing him of being Sirhan's mentor for horseback racing in the weeks leading up to the murder (numerous witnesses saw the two together with Bryan flashing a wallet full of hundreds). Bryan brought his girlfriend as a character witnesses. The famed prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi (he prosecuted Charles Manson) was working for the defense. Bugliosi discovered that Bryan's girlfriend was the sister of would be George Wallace assassin, Arthur Bremmer. What a small world!

Interesting details. So much is surreal about that cowboy-ish era.

It's out of print now, but there was a book in the late 70s called "the Yankee vs Cowboy War". It was about the wars of secret factions within the Deep State from the JFK hit to Watergate.
