The Dem's have brought up " Reparations"before when Obama first ran I believe. Funny thing once he/they got elected it was all pushed under their political rug Again! Well, I am working harder and making more money than ever, and I'm STILL not going to give any money to someone just because their great, great......great granpa was a slave sometime back in history. I make TWO exceptions: One, I did agree with paying reparations to the Japanese who had been interned by the Democrats during WWII because the individuals who were paid the reparations were the individuals who had been victimized by it. The other exception is that when someone is caught keeping someone in slavery today, their sentence should definitely include reparations paid from their own property to the person they victimized. People who never kept slaves should never pay reparations to people who were never slaves.

WHile this is a work of fiction as far as I can tell, it is set in a true historical setting. There really were White slaves in Africa. They bought, sold, and captured people just like anyone else at that time. No doubt they found the European expeditions hiking through the jungles great targets for slave raids. This is not the only author to touch upon White slavery in Africa. Western author Louis L'Amour, one of my favorites, included a character in his novel "The Warrior's Path" who was an Ashanti escaped slave who had been royalty and a slave trader among his own people who had been taught English by an Englishman who had been a slave among his people. It is truly a part of world history that few talk about or write about.

I wouldn't laugh too hard, this stupid idea needs to be taken seriously and strangled once and for all. If the Demwit Party gets millions of afros demanding reparations, it could turn an otherwise manageable civil strife into a full-fledged civil war. Tell a bunch of people that they are "entitled" to something and 90% of them are going to believe it.
