In keeping links of interest and past researching, then going back to refer to saved links, many have vanished. Trying to then search again, searches (even GDG) brings up totally different and biased leftist results.
We should all be able to archive as history is being changed quickly. Even Waybackmachine cant get it back.
Asking for those Anons who are in the know, please provide education, free software, link sites, etc. for those of us to help archiving. This info would be valuable to have all in one place.
Thanks

YouTube-dL works really well on OSX to archive videos from multiple websites(not just YouTube)
16727423? ago
I've been archiving some things on an external drive as a PDF file or MP3 or MP4 file. Glad I PDF'd that AOC "green new [ripoff] deal" because she pulled it! Been emailing it to everyone.
Question - is that Archive.is site still compromised?
16724542? ago
If you want to download youtube videos, search youtube downloader. Most sites is free. Put youtube url in, and you can download it
Eg: https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/youtube-converter
16723214? ago
Many browsers like Firefox have screen shot software included now - you can even save full webpages

Burn DVD (read only) disks of important stuff, leave copy's where strangers will pick them up, like at coffee shops, school areas, bus seats, inside boxes of Goodwill donations, etc. It's like a red pill IED.
16719021? ago
Ha! That's genius.

Screen shoot everything important...

The Deep State created the Internet. Of course they're in control. And they're probably tracking all of us
16716504? ago
Everything I think might get scrubbed is downloaded and saved to a trillion gig external hard drive. I suggest everyone else to the same. Some of the videos that will not link properly on social media sites can be uploaded from your files. You can rename them to throw off their algorithms.
16716226? ago
Another way to do this is to take any youtube video and add "pwn" without quotations before the you in youtube. As in pwnyoutube
so if the url is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n4A_0Znd50 we are going to change it to:
https://www.pwnyoutube.com/watch?v=5n4A_0Znd50 to get ways to download the video or even just the audio. Whatever format you want.
16715760? ago
Here's a few tips: 1. Press CTRL + P and choose save as PDF on any site.
If you want to download several images from a page, get a batch link downloader (<- mine is called exactly this) plugin for your browser.
For videos I use a plugin for chrome called "video downloader professional". (Doesn't work on youtube but it does on most other sites)
If you can't right click to download something just press "CTRL+SHIFT+I" and hold your mouse over the thing you want to download and delete the element that says something along the lines of "right click" and "blocked". If you delete the wrong thing just press "CTRL+Z" to undo.

ARCHIVE EVERYTHING OFFLINE!
16716372? ago
Unfortunately, not everyone can and hope that those who have the space are doing it. That would be the very best idea, but need a lot of storage to be able to.
16717865? ago
I have everything archived to a 128 GB flash drive. I have lots of videos. It's only half full right now. I definitely could be archiving more videos, I do this in spurts and have been focusing on web content as of late
16718001? ago
That's a good idea.
16965762? ago
After following a few tips above I have archived several of my favorite youtube channels (not complete, but as good as the tool available would let me get) and now need an external hard drive. For most, the flash drive would be fine.
16714983? ago
Found this a part of a large group urls. Looks like email server handles the transfers...?
Not secure but the PDF arrives! imagecopi.com
16714967? ago
I type in "ss" before youtube and it goes to a page with a download link. ssyoutube.com/whatever you get the idea.

There was a download program of all the Q posts and we updated pretty regular but since Dec 23 it is not downloading. It is called Q-Research Archive addition.
16717912? ago
Not sure if you are taking about the same program I use, but if you search for "archive offline"in this sub, the developer has done several updates as he improved the program and found crashing issues. Current version still has a couple issues, but it does an amazing job in general. Any day we should see another update (goal for this weekend didn't pan out)
16966988? ago
New update is up. I will post about it in the morning. Thanks for the kind words!

Ok thanks.

A lot of useful pdf's disappeared on SCRIBD ( https://www.scribd.com/ ). Some months ago up- and download was free there so that is was very useful for us and most of important pdf's had been stored there. Later they only allowed to read the pdf's online, but no download (only for paying users). Since some days not even viewing pages is possible. I never use pay accounts because of the lack of anonymity. It would be useful if everyone who stored important files there or downloaded these, reupload to a free pdf site like Docdroid (https://www.docdroid.net/).
16713577? ago
I hate scribd because they always want a sub to read anything more than a paragraph.
16713068? ago
**The solution is very simple. ** No software is needed. Go to the URL of the Youtube video in your browser then type "pp" at the end of the the "e" in youtube inside the URL. You will be taken to a website that allows you to download the video in 1080p onto your hard drive. Best wishes and ARCHIVE EVERYTHING!!!!!!
16715931? ago
Make sure you have a stout ad blocker/malware detector using this method. EVERYTIME I download something using this method I get this popup from Malware bytes (which I pay for premium) https://imgoat.com/uploads/84b6fbb107/195734.png
16714593? ago
Sorry, need help. I type "pp" and it takes me to the site you reference. I hit download, it processes, but then it just starts playing the video. I don't see any buttons or a download arrow that allows me to see the file in order to save on my harddrive.
16715650? ago
It doesn't work for every single video, but in your case, there should be something you can click in the bottom right corner that will present you with a context menu where the only option is "Download"
FOR EVERYONE ELS TO READ TOO. There is a free program called PicPick, it's a screen grab application. It allows you to screen grab a scrolling window. The keyboard shortcut to initiate this is ctrl + alt + PrtSc (don't know what it is on mac, but you can find it) and then click on the window that you want to initiate the scrolling screen grab, sometimes there are elements on the page that will prevent it from working properly, but if you know how to delete those elements after the page is loaded, you can get it to work.
ONE MORE THING, I use the Opera browser for a couple reasons, it has a built in VPN which I use as a second layer VPN on top of the one I pay for BUT what is important is that on ANY page, you can right click and save the entire page as a PDF.
Now get to work and archive EVERYTHING. I try to grab anything I find interesting; Videos, articles, pictures, infographics, etc. You all should be too. If I find something interesting on a youtube channel, sometimes I will download every single video just in case. You never know, we might need it.
16714304? ago
And use Newpipe for Andriod to rip https://f-droid.org
16713232? ago
Wow. Couldn’t be easier! Thanks for that!
16712786? ago
Newpipe has a youtube downloader built in.
https://twdown.net/index.php works fine for twitter. "Save page" or something similar is on most browsers for everything else

In the event of EMP attack, I print out the most notable articles I've read. My screenshot album is out of control. I'm legit worried if something happened to me and someone saw it, they would question my sanity. And theirs.
16712977? ago
You are not alone. I have way too many screenshots, which is the easiest way from my phone. When on my laptop I usually save to PDF.
16712671? ago
Good point. I've asked a few questions regarding the making of Faraday boxes, but was told either the box won't hold up to protect small devices such as ipad and/or what devices could really be utilized even if it does survive if the grid does go down.
16965734? ago
I'm using a galvanized steel bucket with lid. Inexpensive and big enough for several electronics that I may want to use if SHTF.
16713776? ago
an old microwave oven makes a decent faraday cage
16712735? ago
Faraday box should be fine. We use them at work to test all the radios we make that go on the satalites/rockets. No EM radiation whatsoever
16712800? ago
I read about Faraday boxes, and tinfoil legit works - which I thought was crazy.

16713035? ago
The "Full Page Screen Capture" extension for Chrome & Brave is amazing. I try to print websites to PDF to retain links, but sometimes the formatting is horrendous and only an image will do. This extension screenshots the whole webpage from top to bottom, and then you can save as PNG or it will split it into pages for saving to PDF.

pdf webpage - do this if you want to store something https://webpagetopdf.com/ Free to use
16715840? ago
With Opera Browser, you can simply right click on any page and "save as PDF" is readily available right there. There is even a keyboard shortcut you can set to whatever you want in the options to do this quickly.
There is a free program called PicPick, it's a screen grab application. It allows you to screen grab a scrolling window. The keyboard shortcut to initiate this is ctrl + alt + PrtSc (don't know what it is on mac, but you can find it) and then click on the window that you want to initiate the scrolling screen grab.

I've been using Midrey's YouTube Downloader (for Windows) for many months and it's free and awesome. It will capture video from YouTube and Tweets and most other websites too.
I highly recommend it.
16712787? ago
Here's a site I use to rip down videos if necessary. (limited to 90 mins, I think.
Also excellent for creating audio versions of videos that can be used as podcasts for listening to when driving, sharing, etc.

Any suggestions for Mac users?
16716213? ago
Nimbus Capture works on many platforms. I've had good luck with it. Over 50GB backed up and counting now. Great for entire web pages.
For video I use a FF plugin called Video Download Helper. It converts video formats if needed too.
16713823? ago
I use Firefox version 55.0.3 with "MP4 downloader". Both of these are obsolete but work perfectly with YouTube. Epic browser's downloader works sort-of but renames all downloads with its own generic title so you have to rename each one before you forget, which is a pitb.
16713084? ago
Mac users can use a free plug-in on Firefox called Flash Video Downloader to download Y_T_ videos. Works great on most vids that are not licensed videos. 90% of all vids on YT can be downloaded with this plug-in, more info here: http://fvdmedia.com/fvd-quick-guide-new/
16712835? ago
I use this on linux, should work on Mac or at least something similar to it: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Youtube-dl
