I think the confusion comes from trying to define and understand Godly justice in imperfect human terms. If a person is "bad", he must suffer "punishment" in our understanding. God does bring evil to justice, but it may look a lot different than what happens when a human judge sentences a criminal to justice. My own understanding is that "Hell" is separation from God. Separation from those you love most could be understood as "Hell on Earth".

You could look at a person's prayer as an invitation to God to intervene in his/her life. God can do anything, but He respects the free will of each individual. So He usually does not intervene in one's personal life unless that person has exhibited the free will to allow God to do so. It should be noted that if there are 50 people in a room, there will be 50 different exact interpretations of who or what God is, even if all 50 belong to the same religious background. Each person will have his understanding of God and his own way of worshipping Him.

Thank you. This resonates with me in many ways. I had nightly visits from a female spirit, lasting a long time, at the age of three or four. I was not believed, of course, as it doesn't really mesh with the Bible, or so I'm told. I have always felt the presence of God, but not in church. I feel God in nature, in wind, in the fur of animals. I had my first out of body experience when I was 14, another at age 23, and things got freaking crazy in my early 40s. I believe this happened for a couple of reasons. 1.) I was I'll for a long time, with no brilliance from doctors for answers, and I did not really care to stick it out much longer. 2.) I was ready to learn and experience some of the absolute wonder of our existence. I believe God is a thousand times more beautiful and loving than a father who would burn his children forever for disobeying him. I believe in parallel lives, as I believe I visited two of my others. I believe in many lives and many deaths, and I have experienced three deaths. I have also lived briefly in a house with a very powerful, both spiritually and physically, evil presence. That's very real, too, unfortunately. I've since learned how to protect myself. No, that doesn't mean I've never been visited again, but I know how to do battle against evil: pure love, light, and absence of fear and ego. That last part is the hardest. I was also once in the presence of an angel, who I was unable to even face because the energy was crushing, not in a negative way. I was shown some sort of numeric code, in what I think was an alien ship. Consciously, I couldn't understand any of it, but....I believe that God does not intervene in most things here, unless we stray too far from a path for an important lesson. I have friends who pray over a friggin hang nail. Probably not going to help. I don't believe people are spared from death through prayer. If that were true, few would die, especially children. But they do die. I believe we get to leave this body prison when we've mastered our lessons. Some lessons are learned through loss and death. Once the dying person is freed from the body, their suffering is finished. We who are left behind are the ones who hurt. I did not ask for my experiences, except for one, a question about lost time/parallel places. I never dabbled in the occult. I think I just knew not to go there. So, yes, I know that God exists, and so do many other spirits. I can't and would never fault anyone for their religious beliefs if they're based in love. Conventional religion just doesn't work for me because of my experiences, which I consider to be the greatest gift God has given me. It's simply impossible to not to believe in and know God, no matter how pissed off I get sometimes. I definitely believe that we, in mass especially, can raise our energies and create. God exists in and runs through us just as parents pass on to their children. I don't condemn traditional religion, but I believe many of them are hiring the beautiful truth which is so truly amazing.

I also follow along your lines of thinking. I will never be submissive. I know perfection is not possible but I truly try to think of doing the right thing in every situation. Binding Satan or more likely his demons, is only be done when we hear clearly from God what and how we are to do so, but we do have authority both to bind what has been already been bound in heaven and to loose here on earth what has already be loosed in heaven.

In this verse I see reference to Satan and his demons as having been bound from heaven. Then what was loosed in heaven? How about this:

Yeah, as I understand, Satan can't be bound. He'll be destroyed by God at the appointed time. But individually we can be free of him through God. Probably what you mean through spreading the Gospel. Imagine if Jesus has already returned, and we're seeing Satan's death throes. No one who calls themselves the Christ and points to themselves as being Jesus will be true, since Jesus said so himself. Makes sense to me his return would then be a quiet insurrection.
