It’s not just melanin. There’s measurable differences in things like bone density, the ratio of fast twitch/slow twitch muscles, the brain to body volume ratio just to name a few.

It was more the brain part. Not just the brain to body ratio which is considered to be the best indicator of intelligence but different parts of the brain are proportioned differently by race. Are you here to say that the brain has no effect on behavior?

The best indicator of intelligence is what one does with their brain, not the size & shape of it. Plenty of accidents have happened where people have part of their brains removed & they still function normally.

The brain does have an effect on behavior, but so does your environment & how you were raised, hence the nature vs. nurture argument.

The point about lobotomies is just plain stupid. Having any part of your brain removed and functioning the same would be nothing short of a fluke, but it would depend on which part you take a chunk out of. Which region specifically, those also happen to be the parts that vary in size by race and in ways that happen to make an awful lot of sense if you know what each region’s function is.

Nature vs nurture. Did you know that nearly every study on the subject places the heritability of intelligence between 70% and 95%? So your nurture would account for only 5%-30% of intelligence.

No. Because some areas of the brain are different based on about 40,000-50,000 years worth of regional adaptations that would have been made more extreme by the I’ve age which lasted for most of that time.
