You fail to see that you have no ability to determine a person's allegiance. Serial killers attended church, mosques, temples of various faiths. The only way to determine if someone is for/against you is what they're spending their time serving.

I think you need to work out your cognitive dissonance and come up with an America that can hold it's ideals of "life, liberty, pursuit of happiness" bundled with "freedom of religion" considering the minority group we all fall in and how any change could easily be turned against us.
