In a true Democracy we would get a vote on literally everything. Since that would require never ending votes we just elect corrupt people to make decisions with little or no oversight in how they are allowed to serve us.
I love the concept of actual Democracy, but I can't imagine a scenario that an online voting system would not get abused.
You could theoretically vote with a retina scan, a hand print or DNA since those things are unique to each person and are not easily replicated for fraud. Then there's the matter of privacy and getting your identity stolen from one of the large databases of information that ALWAYS eventually get hacked.
True. Some areas are more like a dictatorship. Voter fraud removes the democratic republic aspect of government from the equation and makes votes meaningless.

One problem with these approaches is that this may make voting too easy.
There's a reason why in the US, older, educated, whites account for the highest turnout demographics. They actually care enough about the issues to do what it takes to go out and vote.
If any retard 19 year old black hoodlum can vote from his phone, when he gets an alert from the DNC, were screwed.
They won't have to cheat.
This type of approach has to be opposed at all costs.
I don't see the main problem with voting as one of method, but rather eligibility.
Less people should be allowed to vote. Mainly those who have a vested interest, and ability to engage with an issue.
If a method is poised to increase eligibility, or ease, given our current universal suffrage situation, it would lead to brigading from disinterested parties, on all sorts of issues, for all sorts of motivations.
Fans of an artist will click a button if the artist tells them to. People out for a laugh will do the same. The news of the day will garner many wayward clicks. It would be chaos, and certainly not representative.

A democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner. The US is a republic.

The money interest has inbuilt advantages too. You have to make a better arguements to your 19yo black hoodlums or offer them more free stuff!
As we are seeing, every system can be gamed, infiltrated and controlled.
For it to be to my advantage, it must be to everyone else's as well - Win Win.
