I’m a news and event photographer in DC. This is my chosen profession and I love what I do. I’ve been doing this for seventeen years; the last eleven as a bona fide member of “The Press.” I watched the Hussein administration take the reins of power and continue along the path that Bush had established vis-a-vis the absolute erosion of Press Freedom in America. Hussein used the espionage act more than any other president in our history to not only silence, but crush dissent. When I learned that Hussein had tapped the phones of the Associated Press, I was so incensed that I quit smoking to effect my own tax protest.
I give myself a lot of personal assignments. I don’t make any money from these, but I get paid in the information I glean and sometimes a meal. One of my favorite places to catch one of these is the National Press Club in Washington. Twice I have covered a fellow of particular interest to me. He spoke at a luncheon in 2013 and again at a news conference in 2015. I did not notice at the time, but as I was reviewing these image sets, I saw something on his lapel.
The lightbulb suddenly illuminated. This guy has the classic trilogy of culpability. He was a senior executive with the NSA. He is an expert on the East German Stasi and their programs to surveil the citizenry. He helped design the programs that were being abused. Means.
He went through proper channels to blow the whistle on fraud, abuse and unconstitutional programs. For his trouble he was investigated and prosecuted by the FBI. His life was nearly destroyed with the possibility of what would be a lifetime in a federal prison. Motive.
In the election of 2016, the DC establishment et. al. were delivered mortal blows with the ascension of Donald Trump to the Presidency of The United States of America. This global shift of the power balance yet to be fully felt or appreciated by many was not lost on patriots within our military and intelligence communities. This realignment provided the chance for Q to rise. Opportunity.
I believe Q is none other than Thomas Drake.
Notice the lapel pin on Drake, the tall guy to the right. Also, read the other names in the caption, he’s in some stellar company.
Here is his luncheon speech at the National Press Club from March 13th, 2013. (Note: this predates Snowden’s revelations beginning on June 5, 2013.)

Internet research says that Q clearance personnel are usually associated with the Dept. Of Energy due to Atomic energy for weapons, most likely. They could be level 3 or those in level 4 who hold access to the highest risk sensitivity information. Level 4 have the potential to cause the greatest damage to our national security. Since your research shows he was involved as an executive of the NSA then he "could" have this clearance and be a part of the Q team with Trump, especially if the deep state tried to destroy him. I really think it is someone much more shocking to the public. Most citizens would just shrug and say, "Okay, so who are you?" If Q chooses to ID himself, and I think he will since he said we would all be surprised to know who was talking to us on the 8chan board, it will most likely be a shock and awe moment. Something that would help unite the country when all the arrests of the elite occur. Just my opinion on that though.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I have sat on my discovery for more than a month in order to gain more perspective if not more proof. I was aware of the DoE Q level clearance through following the discussions here and on other boards. Has Q stated anything regarding DoE or clearance levels? I did some quick research on map.pub and found this in Q drop 144:
Drop 34 is titled "Q Clearance Patriot."
Drop 48 says the following:
This suggests to me that Q refers to NSA, not DoE.

I don't disagree with you at all about it being far more likely Q is NSA, that makes perfect sense. I agree the U1 knowledge links Q to DOE with a Q-4 highest clearance access but it surely does not mean "they/he" have to actually work there. Q states, "We have it all." Therefore, an NSA executive with that clearance would "have all the coms" and be able to have prime access to POTUS, his staff, access to all 3 letter agencies, and coordinate with Generals, and Military Intel as well. The Q lapel pin is a bit ostentatious for someone wanting to be hidden, unless all Q clearance folks are given those pins to wear for years of service, then it is in plain sight. Very interesting catch on that picture though, anon. Who knew Q would become the most popular letter in the alphabet?
