Voat doesn’t allow you to ask for votes, and QVR doesn’t count anyway because it’s anonymous. Getting upvotes is not as easy as everyone says, but it can be done. The trick is to post as much as possible on other boards and eventually you’ll get enough votes. It’s not just about posting good comments, because a lot of good comments get downvoted just because people are cranky, and the other big issue is that a lot of the boards are pretty dormant. But you’ll get there.
Like the time I scraped my knee when I was walking down the stairs when there were no stairs. That scab is like an upvote to my heart. I tried kissing it, but the logistics were near impossible. However, I was able to lick my hand and pat the ouchie and that made it okay.
