Good job on making a thread, if the admins wont take the community in mind when appointing mods to subs then they need to be held accountable by the community. I thought @she proved that sometimes you can be too fair and impartial, to the detriment of the site and the site's community. That whole affair created a rift in the community that still endures today and is being exploited today, despite some peoples efforts to mend it. We need to learn the lessons of the past or we are doomed to repeat the failures of the past.

To Puttiout; we know you are too busy to code the real solution this needs but at some point a line has to be drawn on giving communities to those that have proven unfit to hold the responsibility. I'm not sure how that can be done beyond using a common sense rule but it needs to happen. I don't think this anon sub is worth complaining about really but a big sub like v/til has been taken from the community.

The easiest way to get SaneGoat to stop bothering you is to, whenever you see him (don't actively seek him out because you've got better things to do), reply to his comments repeatedly with the exact same comment.

It's one of the few options left that makes any sense at all.

I don't really want to give the man a hard time, since he seems like a reasonable guy when he bothers to tell us anything... Nonetheless, a few simple answers would really clear up a lot of bullshit. Also, some actual clarity about what a mod can/can't do and what subs should be considered "brand-name", and thus protected from over-zealous moderators, would be really nice.
