You guys, just the same as every other migrant group from reddit, are being tested. By both reddit and voat. Reddit will close down a sub the becomes "problematic" knowing damn well where they will go. Here, to Voat. They know after a week or two you guys will get ran out of here and go crawling back to reddit ready to bend over and take it in the ass with a smile this time. This gets you to stop standing up for yourselves there and do as they tell you.

Now on voat we deal with every influx of new users in the same way. We poke them. For a while. This is to make sure that they share our same values even when they might not like them, and just generally aren't fucking pussies because this isn't your safe space. Now if we were to allow everyone just slide in here and let them be with their learned Reddit style rules and mods this place will eventually become the exact thing we don't want it to be. Reddit.

So don't delete/ban people just because theyre not playing nice. They don't have to, they don't have to respect any of you. Respect is earned and honestly youre doing a pretty poor job. Don't try and police people comments, if submissions are too far out then yes .Even though I'm not sure what the hell you guys do, or what "off topic" really pertains to. But it seems like some political group, so when you see comments about jews or pizzagate, don't fucking delete them. You'll be surprised at how much of this shit starts to add up.

So overall. Grow a pair, deal with the shit for a little while. This isn't a free ride, earn your keep. And eventually you will see why we do what we do.
