Too many people always want new laws to every perceived problem. I guess their theory is the laws we already have didn't create a perfect world, so we must need more laws. But that rests on the false premise that the world and human society can be perfected. The impulse, moreover, has caused the ballooning of the number of laws to the point where it is impossible to know or follow them rendering the enire sysem arbitrary, unfair and ripe for abuse. There is absolutely no need for new laws. The main issue I can see with the current laws is (a) they are not enforced well enough and (b) they don't satisfy some imbeciles because they do not contain magic words, including "terrorism". It is idiocy like this that gave us the abomination known as hate laws which have now slowly morphed into unConstitutional (but still often actively enforced) speech codes on campus and elsewhere.

There is no legal mechanism for designating domestic extremist groups as terrorists. Federal laws define terrorism as a criminal attack intended to intimidate and coerce civilians in order to influence government policy or to otherwise affect government conduct.

By thus definition, a lot of what Antifa does can be considered terrorism as it basically focuses on intimidating people. Indeed, doxxing itself is an intimidation tactic, and could be considered a form of terrorism. Obviously, I don't want to compare actual violent acts to these other ones, but if a broader definition was employed and then fairly enforced, it would have massive effects on various groups.

But that's just the thing.

Love him or hate him, Pres. Trump has shown that the deep state is real, and this is what is behind both the manipulation of laws and their disparate impact.

If you notice on that New Jersey chart - 'anarchist extremists' are listed in the 'moderate' category. So I would imagine antifa are not being entirely overlooked.

But looking at this impartially - are antifa as dangerous as accelerationists? The only way I think one could argue they are is if the argumebt is that they have greater ability to actually carry out violent acts. Ideologically though much of 'white supremacy' is more violent than ISIS. This is a point I was making years ago and when I was both moderate myself and white nationalist terrorism really was on no one's radar other than the ADL or SPLC. And with Siege and accelerationism added in more broadly over the last few years it has enhanced its threat potential a lot in my opinion. This again is the legacy of Iron March.

Doesn't really matter what I think of you - or you me. Personally I would not group myself with you - for aesthetic or intellectual reasons if nothing else. It's more how groups like the SPLC or various actors in law enforcement or the counterterrorism fields see us. They're going to be much less nuanced than I am. And I'm under no illusions here. Of course I'm also not doing anything illegal - so if they are inclined to bust me they have little to work with.

Thanks for confirming that you stand with the ((( SPLC ))) and even extend them a single shred of credibility.
