All Reddit Messages missing (MeanwhileOnReddit)

Ex-Reddit folks. I am still receiving email notification when someone comments on one of my previous Reddit posts (r/Conspiracy, GreatAwakening, what-have-you). I just received 6 message updates on Sept 21. I logged into Reddit to read them in my inbox there and there are NO MESSAGES in my inbox. Zero. Only messages are those from auto moderators saying my posts were deleted for a variety of reasons...and those notices were over a month old. So how am I getting emails from Reddit with messages from my Reddit inbox that don't exist? Riddle me this will ya?

Why do you still have a reddit account?

Good question. Just didn't close it down, forgot you had to enter email address. Messages went to my proton mail account. Lots of user replies to earlier posts, comments, etc. but when I went to Reddit...no messages in my inbox save those from "bot" moderators claiming I was using anti-Semitic language, inciting violence, etc. with my posts so they were deleted. NO SUCH THING ever happened. Most of my posts were around being cool with others when we disagree, etc. So the "bot" was seriously off-base.

Well shit. Is there a secure hosted email provider? I only use that account to set up crap like the Reddit account.

Posteo sounds good

Web- and IMAP-based email service. 2GB cost 1€/month. Information is hosted on encrypted hard drives. Electricity from renewable resources is used.

I'm probably going to buy this next month.
