Half the point of getting to 100 points is so that you earn the right to downvote. You cant just be a CTR/butthurt leftist faggot and downvote things that hurt your feelings like Reddit. I didn't understand Voat when I first came here, and begged for upvoats. I got called a redneck and an idiot. I am now grateful for that as it helped me learn the website. I know lots of people migrate from reddit everyday because reddit fucking sucks, but THIS IS NOT REDDIT, THIS IS SPARTA. Spez can't fuck you around here. CTR has a harder time infiltrating. Free upvotes give them an easier time getting the privilege of downvoting. So, why?

Thank you, I do appreciate the in-depth answer. Funny how this place is so similar looking to reddit, but yet so different. I learn more and more everyday and definitely appreciate this for what it is. I know not all share the opinion, but I hope more and more abandon reddit and come on over here where the grass is danker.
