I do believe the connection is related to pedophiles because repeated stress causes the endocrine system to flair up. On page 6 of the pdf or p. 591 in the paper the noted below it shows how repeated stress causes "signifficant difference" in the concentration of melatonin in the serum. This is the connection that makes the most sense to me. here is ref.
