Such surveys are almost totally worthless. You can alter the results significantly by changing the phrasing of the question and also by putting it into context with other questions. If the previous discussion clues in the person answering that they will be judged negatively if they answer THIS question a certain way, it will change their answer. Frequently a survey consists of multiple questions but only one is important and the rest are designed to plump up the responders answer.
Surveys and polls are specifically testing the success of propaganda and do not indicate what people actually think or feel. Never pay them any mind, other than as clues regarding what Globohomo is focused on so you can pick your targets.
