Ever look at REMA hand edits? REMA is a massive pile of photos of Antarctica. Kinda like Jewgle Earth but for Antarctica. There are lots of layers and such. It is run by a respected university. Check it out.
The hand edits were added through the research by the OP of the thread. According to them, the first time all of this info had been compiled in one KML package.
