Leon Black is the Founder and CEO of Apollo Group, an investment and buyout firm based in NYC. THE OBAMA CONNECTION

As you might imagine, Leon Black has many high powered connections -- but there is one that is particularly interesting: Martin Nesbitt, Obama's best friend. You may recall in 2017, Peter Schweizer (author of Clinton Cash) released the book "Secret Empires". In this book Schweizer outlines the way Joe Biden, John Kerry and Obama enriched their families and friends through lucrative insider deals. In Kerry and Biden's case it was primarily deals in China and Ukraine where their sons benefited from relationships to score lucrative contracts and board of director positions -- in industries where they had no prior experience or expertise. Obama on the other hand used his administration to benefit his friends who are investors. His administration accomplished this by targetting industries with regulations and other burdens, which drove the stock prices down. His cronies could then buy those companies at discounted prices, and once purchased, the restrictions would be released so that the value increased very quickly.

ENTER LEON BLACK, APOLLO GROUP

One scenario outlined in Schweizer's book is the Obama Administration targeting for-profit universities. One of the firms discussed in the book is the University of Phoenix (online schools). The Obama administration used the FTC, the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau to charge the school with deceptive marketing practices. Then a key blow came when the Department of Defense put the University of Phoenix on probation. Until the suspension, the school had been receiving $2 to $4 billion a year in taxpayer funds due to the number of soldiers and sailors attending the school. According to Schweizer: "It was a devastating blow to the company. " "The price in January 2016 was down over 90 percent from where the price was in 2009.

Enter Leon Black's Apollo Group who partnered with other Obama crony firms, Vistria Group (Chicago) and Najafi (Arizona) to purchase the beleagured school. (The CEO of Vistria Group is Martin Nesbitt, Obama's friend.) In early 2016, the partners swooped in and bought the University of Phoenix for the bargain commitment price of $10 per share. The deal was approved by the Obama administration in December 2016 and closed shortly after Trump took office at the beginning of 2017. To seal the deal, Nesbitt attended an intimate birthday party for Obama and golfed with him on Martha's Vineyard. To lift the sanctions, the partners hired an ex-Clinton DOJ official to lobby the Pentagon, which they successfully accomplished long before the deal closed. They also successfully lobbied the Department of Education to reduce the credit requirements for the deal.

WHO IS MARTIN NESBITT?

Those of you who have tracked Obama's history likely know the name Martin Nesbitt. Conspiracy sites have referred to Nesbitt and his wife as not only the Obama's closest friends, they claim the Nesbitts are the biological parents of Malia and Sasha Obama.
