It's not a laser dot. Lasers don't refract and that dot is the size of a quarter. It 's a reflection on the bullet-proof glass in front of the stage. You can see the relection on the podium as well.

The dot is not that big on the target. Not unless it is being sent from 2 miles away, and if so, it isn't that bright. And it would be skipping around like crazy. That is a fixed light.

I thought they were reflections of the lights on the bullet proof glass. I watched a different video earlier of his speech, from a little different angle, and they weren't there. They never showed up on him at all. They did show up towards the right above his shoulder, and a little higher, if I remember correctly. You can find the video, probably multiple live streams on youtube.

In the part of the video where he’s reading the nativity passage from the Bible, a red laser dot shows up on the bottom-right of the podium a couple times. I didn’t see the dot on Trump’s shoulder or his chin, but someone got screen caps showing it.

Yes. I read the story, before I went video hunting. I try to validate before opening my pie hole lol I just watched again. Maybe, the timestamp you listed is incorrect? I started at 1:35, and watched until they left the stage. There isn't a red mark on his face in your video either. I don't know what to say. I do pray for him multiple times a day. Stuff like this is a big fear. I'll have time tomorrow to look through more videos, and see if I can find something that matches the article.
Just an aside: If this were true, the president would have been rushed from that stage. They watch him like a hawk. We watch them casually walk off the stage. He would never risk Melania's life; maybe his own.

I've seen the screen shots. They look like blobs, not lasers, which is why I originally went video hunting. Serious question, is there something I need to adjust that is keeping me from seeing the red on your video? I honestly don't get red on the president when I watch. Depending on perspective of the video I watch on this, I'm getting the red above either shoulder. Do I need to adjust something? I don't understand why I can't get the same shot as you.
