Good Lawd Almighty, of course books are copyrighted. It's literally where the name copyright comes from. Authors own their work and only they have the "right" to make "copies" of their work. Trump still makes money of this book as does Tony Schwartz. Schwartz donates his royalties to the National Immigration Law Center, though.
