I was just reading that Jay Z and Beyonce hang out there. Also, I posted a video here that they show in their elevator. It is very NWO... It reminds me of the paintings at the Denver airport. Let me know if you do not see it.
I am sure there is a lot of crazy shit that goes on there.
Japanese love hotels are for couples and all in-room fun. They’re Like motel 6 but way better and checkin is almost all private can’t see clerk’s face or touch screen and pay machines in the rooms. They look down on the group thing.
The hotels in this post do seem very NWO and a swinger hook up type.
I have been to SK and Japan a bunch of times, and I have seen them. It is a very interestimg part of their culture.
Yes, the Ashley Madison crowd. Knowing these people, though, all is not what it seems. I am willing to bet that they have a secret area for more illegal activities, such as pizza.
Hahaha! Yes, I have stayed there many times. I actually love Seoul and Tokyo. I have also been to Hiroshima, which I also love. The food is fantastic, and the people are super friendly.
They took me to Itaewon one time. It was very fascinating. I looked up the street at one point and it looked like I was on a Korean war movie set. It really is like going back in time.
I behave when I am on business. I would not want someone to have to come and bail me out of anything.
Itaewon has really modernized from when I was there in 93. It went from a get custom suits for cheap to a upscale night area. This last time I cruised around and found hooker hill by accident.
I did Hiroshima too and was conflicted about the war memorial. At the time no family was American and were allies. I just made me realize how nasty that bomb was. Japan is a good place to live but not for a career.
So, I take it you didn’t have a boss to peel you off some bathroom floor after having way too much to drink and throw you into a taxi so you could get back to your hotel and not spend it on that floor or a police jail floor? My boss was a major partier and gloated he had me out after 10 rounds of the good Korean stuff while he managed to make till morning.
Yes, I was there much later than 93. I think it was 2007 or so. This was my first trip there. I stayed at the Koreana, then I was in Gagnam the other times.
Yes, the war memorial was very sad in Hiroshima. The Japanese people were so polite to me on the bullet train between Tokyo and Hiroshima. I told my Korean business associates this, and they laughed and said it is because I am American. They said that the Japanese are rude to them because they are Korean.
The war in Iraq was going at this time (2010), and I suggested that, if we really want to win, then we should rearm the Japanese and send them to the Middle East. The Koreans thought it was a horrible idea. LOL.
I went to SK and Japan many times between 2007 and 2012. I lost count.
The people I was with were all Korean. I was the only non-Korean. One of them took me to some places in Seoul. I think he wanted to be seen with an American and impress the ladies. It was pretty funny. I think the Boss told him to cool it.
Yes, I can see how one can get pretty shitfaced there. Soju is dangerous stuff because it tastes so good, especially in the Winter when it is freezing. Sometimes I would go to SK in January. LOL. I have never been so cold in my life.
I would arm the over 40 guys in Japan. The young guys are a bunch on pansy ass pussies. (I hung out with a bunch of tough guys in Japan).
Japan and Korea have a love hate thing going on. It’s weird.
I wouldn’t mind doing travel like that. Right now I travel to Dallas for work every week. I’d go to Korea for the food!
So true about being white! I would get that a lot. I don’t mind if they pay for the drinks or play wing man. The leaches ... ugh. I had a boss who would call me whenever he wanted to impress somebody with his English skills. Lol
Soju —umm, what’s that more expensive version? Not the cheap ginro stuff.
I’ve had a couple cool bosses like that. One would take us out to guy clubs. He knew a lot of people so we’d always get the good service.
What do you do, if you do not mind me asking. I do legal work...
I am not sure what kind of Soju I had... I just know it is good. Something about it being warm that really hits the spot. I like Hite beer when I am SK, too. Sush, Hite, and Soju make a very nice evening.
I do programming/project lead. I thought of being a lawyer but I doubt I could stand doing all the paperwork.
Thanks for that link. I've had a few of the Jinro and Kuro. I think what took me out was Chamisul. I think we were drinking SK for lunch ... I don't remember because we w Er e drunk most of the 3 days we were there.
I will be going back eventually but for now I want tonstay out of Japan because I get homesick really bad. Living there was really awesome and mostly too much fun.I miss hanging out with friends after work. The US just isn't the same.
Ah, I see. Yes, lawyering is a lot of paperwork and dealing with clients who want great work from me but do not want to pay. Sometimes I go to meet them and they show up driving their new Porsche. LOL.
I really hope you do get to go back to SK. It would be a shame if there is a war there. I did get to visit the DMZ once, and I highly recommend it.
I see job postings in Japan where they are looking for American lawyers. It is very tempting to apply...

The hotels posted here remind me of Japanese Love Horels but in a open group setting. Love hotels run on a stay the night and hourly method.

Good observation. It makes sense if it is what we think it is.

The hours and the copy just points to that. Could be a swingers set up too.

Just seen them? ;-)

Haha! I was there on business with Koreans, so there was only so much I can do. I prefer white women anyways...

They didn’t take you to Gangnam?

Korea reminded me of California in some ways.

You were lucky to have such a cool boss.

Damn, I hope I get to go back there sometime soon. I want to climb Mt. Fuji, and explore more of the Korean and Japanese countrysides.
