No google money. Bitcoin is the decentralized elitist killer.

What is gab.ai? I got an invitation to join them in my inbox and it freaked me out because I didn't remember giving them my info (though, honestly, I probably did and forgot).

Gab.Ai is the new Twitter for Pro-Free-Speech People, Heavily focused on Anti-Censorship. Awesome site, been there for a couple months now.

bikergang_accountant You are awesome,Thank you for developing GVid.pw! I found your Voat thread while searching for YouTube alternatives after coming here from the Reddit PizzaGate thread, and starting this conversation over at GAB.AI. Been interested in starting or contributing to a project to replace YouTube for a while, done some research on what web languages and hardware would be required to make a competitive decentralized YouTube alternative. Decentralization is a beast all on it's own, but if gvid.pw is developed right and begins to really become a competitor against YouTube, decentralization will be required to keep BigGov from shutting down at the host or DNS level via DDOS and bruteforce attacks. feel free to checkout my linkedin profile under the same nick. Priv msg me, I'd love to discuss in depth.

Decentralization of video distribution has a tone of notes in my notebook. I have it mapped out.

I plan to make a standard cdn before that though so it will be layers.

My hope is to make it so the first segment of video is grabbed from cdn while the rest is from p2p webRTC.
Basically if the piece is grabbed from very close to the player position it grabs from cdn.

But search and user pages are first. The thing is holding up surprisingly well for such a little box.

Again, you are awesome. I have a gvid day tomorrow so I might talk more in depth with you on linkedin then.

I don't know if it's worth it, but I've thought that something like IPFS would make a great CDN. And if a torrent client can work under webrtc, that probably can, too.

Thank you for your work!
